Bheed is a Hindi language black and white movie written as well as directed by Anubhav Sinha . Starring Rajkumar Rao , Bhumi Patnekar and Dia Mirza, it tells the story of one of the most devastating periods in Indian history after the independence and partition: The Covid 19 pandemic, particularly the LOCKDOWN. Though several movies and series have been released about this subject, most of these centre around uhe life of Indian middle class or above, in the urban apartments.
This movie seems to tell the other story. The trailer shows the grim realities of lock down, and referencing or contrasting it with the horror of Partition. It seems to show hlimpses into the great walk by migrant laborers and incidents when sanitizers were sprayed on the poor to protect the rich
